I grew up surrounded by people who knew and loved Jesus.
I went to Christian school for much of my childhood, my parents started following Jesus when I was 8, and not long after he came to faith in Christ my dad went into full-time ministry as a pastor in our church.
It seemed like I knew I lot about Jesus, but what Jesus was about and the good news of the Gospel really started to transform my life at the end of high school and even more when I got to college.
The summer before moving to Moscow to start school at the University of Idaho, I met some girls who were part of Resonate. I noticed the way people took seriously Jesus and the Gospel and really believed that He has the power to do anything. Throughout my time in school, I saw hundreds of lives changed and I began to believe more and more deeply that living for Jesus was better than anything, even when it would cost us everything.
Ever since my sophomore year of college, I dreamed of joining staff and giving my life to what God was doing in and through Resonate. I had no idea what was ahead for our church or even what the words collegiate-church-planting meant fully.
A month before graduating, our staff was invited to consider being part of a new church plant in Cheney, WA at Eastern Washington University. Five friends and I got to say “yes!” and moved our lives three months later in the Fall of 2015. Now I live in Cheney and am working as an On-Campus Multiplier at EWU. I love our church family and I can’t wait to see what God will do in the lives of students on campuses all over the Northwest, the United States, and the world through collegiate church planting!
