The first 10 years at Resonate Church involve some big changes and some incredible stories of how the Lord has worked through collegiate church plants. Each of these years had their own unique twists, but the theme is the same: Only God has control. It all started with a group of people coming together, dreaming and praying about the year ahead of them and what God could do through Resonate Church. God has been moving in the Pacific Northwest and has been continuing to show that obedience to His mission is worth it. What they didn’t know was that the calling for their lives would be greater than they ever imagined. Sometimes a calling may seem unclear, too far, or not aligned with what we have planned for our life. Fast forward to today, Resonate’s 10th year, and there are over 1,000 students attending Sunday gathering, over 700 baptisms, 6 church plants and we pray for 15 more by the year 2021. 21 churches on college campuses by the year 2021. It seems like something that would take a lot of work, sacrifice, and grit. And it does, but at the center of it all, the only thing it requires is faith and trust in God.

College is a time for growth, change, finding who you truly are, and figuring out what you live for. This growth and change can be met with confusion, frustration, or a sense of confirmation. Even when the next steps we take towards the future seem unclear or overwhelming, God is showing us that trusting Him is worth it. The last 10 years have been full of peaks and valleys. But God continues to work and create a movement that is for His glory and His Kingdom.

This upcoming year is met with a lot of excitement. Excitement for the coming years and to see how the Lord moves across the Pacific Northwest. There is so much to look forward to, but at the end of the day all we can do is rejoice. Rejoice that our God is moving at a rate that is urgent and multiplying. Rejoice that with every experience there is room to grow to look more like Jesus. Rejoice because this is something that none of us could have done.

This is something only God can do.
