If you have ever walked into the Schweitzer Event Center at 6PM for a Resonate Church service, chances are you walked right past one of Resonate's most important, and most fun, ministries: Adventure Village.

Adventure Village is a ministry dedicated to bringing children and families into Gospel centered community. Fifteen to twenty families drop off their children each Sunday for a night of fun, learning and a bounce house. Seriously, there's a bounce house. You can't get much cooler than that, right?

Wrong. The coolest part of Adventure Village is that it is a safe and fun environment where those kids are coming to knowJesus. Adventure Village Director Sammi Mischkot says she has seen God move through her students in a big way. " The longer kids come the more we see them sharing the Gospel with their classmates. They continue to communicate who Jesus is more and more clearly as they keep coming back. Lots of kids talk about their evangelism at school and how they tell their friends about God," Mischkot said.

You have probably seen Sammi at the check-in desk on Sundays, handing out name tags to kids and greeting parents, but she doesn't do it alone. "We have a team of 12 volunteers currently who are obedient to the calling on their lives to constantly love and pour into the lives of Resonate families and children," Mischkot said. Every Sunday the team helps setup and tear down the Adventure Village space while also taking time during the week to prepare the curriculum for Sunday.

Sammi began volunteering at Adventure village when she was a Freshman after seeing an promotion video where Zoe McMillan said, 'I want a teacher who has sprinkles on them and is nice.' Sammi says "I knew it would be a good fit."

Adventure village is still in need of volunteers so if you like kids and want to be a part in making much of Jesus in their lives contact Sammi Mischkot at or fill out a connection card on Sunday and put down "Adventure Village."
