Our Story
Resonate Monmouth was planted in 2017, with a vision to reach the campus and the surrounding community! A team of about 20 people, consisting of students, young professionals, and families, made the decision to leave what they knew behind and relocate their lives to Monmouth, Oregon - home to Western Oregon University. Several members of our team were introduced to Jesus for the first time in college and experienced a calling to give our lives to helping other college students experience Him in the same way we did.
Monmouth is a small yet expanding community, offering convenient access to larger cities throughout the Northwest. It’s only a 15-minute drive from Salem and just over an hour south of Portland. The majority of students at WOU are from these larger cities in Oregon, making it a strategic location to both reach and send students with the good news of the gospel.
Since 2017, God’s been incredibly gracious and faithful to our church. We’ve seen over 70 baptisms, over 100 be sent on short term SEND trips, and hundreds engaged in weekly gatherings and villages. In 2021, we had the privilege of sending out our first church plant to Corvallis, Oregon, and we’re praying and working toward sending out another team to another location by 2025. We’re incredibly humbled thinking about our story and all that God’s done in our midst.
We exist to connect the gospel to people, people to community, and community to mission. We’d love to get connected to you!
