Our Story

In the Spring of 2017, a group of12 people from Eastern Washington University set out to explore a few campuses around the Pacific Northwest to see where we could potentially start a church. One of those campuses ended up being Idaho State University. It became clear the Lord was leading us to plant a church there. The city of Pocatello is a profoundly beautiful place and we felt like God wanted to use us to reach people here. Pocatello is a city with 70,000 people and we were passionate about creating more gospel centered communities.

In July of 2018, 14 people moved to Pocatello, Idaho to begin the journey of church planting at Idaho State University. Some of our core team got jobs in the city, bought homes, and made our lives as accessible to students on campus as possible. Pocatello became our home and our mission field. Many of the churches in our city welcomed us with open arms as we co-labored alongside each other to reach a city and campus like ours. God has been faithful in reaching people for Christ in Pocatello through many Christ centered missional communities and we are thankful to be one of many in the city!

Our gatherings began outside in a backyard with blankets, wildlife, and 20 individuals worshipping. With time (and colder weather), Sunday gatherings moved inside a home and our attendance began to grow as we met more students and people in our city. Our next gathering location was a local coffee shop, where attendance grew to about 40-50 people. Once winter hit we moved our Sunday gathering inside to a venue on campus! We now gather on campus in the education building and have begun 2 resonate kids opportunities on Sunday mornings, a youth group, family small groups and small groups geared towards working professionals and college students. Our heart is to see the campus , our city and the world impacted by disciples who make disciples.

We believe God has more for this campus and city and He is just getting started. Join us in praying for His Kingdom to come to Pocatello, Idaho. We would love for you to visit us any Sunday morning at 10 am in Ed Building room 243!
