Jesus’s Kingdom

John 18:28-40

Jesus is facing trial. As He faces trial, Jesus never forgets who he is and who His Father is.

In our trials, we often forget the Kingdom we serve. Reality becomes distorted as the weight of our trials and tribulations overwhelms us.

Not Jesus.

Jesus knows everything, and He remembers the truth during trials. He knows Pilate has the authority to put Him to death, but He also knows what will come - the resurrection.

Do we remember what will come for us while in trial?

Seeing the clarity Jesus saw when we face our judges is tough. But this passage should have hope for us. The Kingdom of Jesus is here, and it’s coming. Redemption will be complete, and we will dwell with our King face to face.

Isn’t that glorious?

Dwell on this story today. Thank God for Jesus, our Saviour who never forgot and never let us forget.

How can you let this truth of the coming Kingdom dictate the truth of reality instead of the distortive thoughts caused by trials?
