Alexandria Rollins

scout trip coordinator + SITE ADMIN | network + PUllman team

I was born and raised in a small little mountain town in Washington and had never experienced much of the world until I moved to Eugene, OR to attend college at the University of Oregon. I remember leaving that home in such a state of emptiness and searching for more. My freshman year of college was lonely and even after months of trying new things and “putting myself out there”, I was still engulfed with anxiety and depression. I never grew up attending a church regularly (only during the holidays with my great grandma), so when I was encouraged to meet someone from Resonate, I was hesitant but also felt like I had nothing to lose. I cried the first time I heard the Gospel while simultaneously saying the story was crazy and that it could never be true. But still, I left the conversation with one thought in my mind - “this is what’s been missing”.

Three days after I attended my first Sunday Service with Resonate, I gave my life to Jesus. I sat across a table with a friend and she simply asked me if I wanted more for my life and if I believed in the Gospel. I said yes, and we prayed, we cried, and we celebrated with a birthday cake to represent me being born again. Since then, my life has been completely flipped upside down and transformed. I quickly became involved with leadership and discipleship as well as participating on various projects that happened throughout the school year and summer. When I started to pray about joining staff my senior year of college, it just made sense. I have a desire to empathize with young women, to lead and empower teams, and most importantly, to make the Gospel known to the ends of the Earth as my vocation. My talents and gifting lined up for me to take on roles within our Network as well as with our Eugene site team. Each week I coach our leaders in Eugene as well as build deep relationships with students on campus. In addition, during different seasons of the year, I coordinate and coach church planters to lead scout projects to future Resonate locations across our Network.

I’m confident and humbled that God would allow me to serve Him and Resonate through vocational ministry and I pray deeply that students at the University of Oregon, and across our world, would be impacted by the Gospel.
