worship leader | boise team

I got involved with Resonate Church as a high school student. There was a village in the Moscow/ Pullman area reaching middle school and high school students and I got involved after deciding to follow Jesus as a high school sophomore. One of my village leaders encouraged me to go to a jam session and get involved with the worship band, and I soon began drumming weekly at our Moscow site! After graduating high school, I knew that God was asking me to continue to leverage my life and use my gifts to reach young people with the Gospel. In the fall of 2018, I moved to help plant Resonate Boise State where I continued to serve in the worship band and pursue other freshmen at Boise State.

In the summer of 2020, I started an internship with Resonate Boise as our site’s worship leader. In my role as worship leader, my hope is to build up our church in holistic worship - not just through song, but also through the way we obey Jesus with every part of our lives. In my role, I am responsible for organizing our Sunday gatherings. Throughout the week, I spend time planning liturgy, training musicians, and rehearsing with the band. Each Sunday, I lead our congregation to meet with the Lord and worship him. My job also includes reaching students here in Boise by leading a village, building relationships with students, and discipling them throughout the week.

I know God gives each of us gifts and passions to build up the church and give him glory. I use my passion for music and leadership to help college students in Boise develop a relationship with Jesus and follow Him. Without my financial supporters, I would not be able to spend the time that I do investing in students and in our church. While support raising is an unconventional way of making an income, it is an honor to have people investing in the mission of God through what I am doing in Boise. Each of us has a role to play in making Jesus known, and I believe God is calling me to shepherd our church through worship leading and reaching college students who don’t know Him. My financial supporters enable me to live out this calling, and they play a massive role in what God is doing on Boise State’s campus.
