In 2014, I was a sophomore in high school that didn't know Jesus. I was caught up in seeking the approval of others and didn't know what healthy relationships looked like. I was looking to everyone and everything else for comfort and fulfillment, and couldn't seem to find either anywhere. In the midst of it all God still patiently pursued me and graciously gave me a friend in middle school named Maya who shared the gospel with me and prayed for me for 5 years. She shared with me the hope of Jesus and reflected it in the way she lived. In July of 2014, Maya and I were at a church camp where the speaker was talking about how God is a heavenly Father and how He's the only One who could ever satisfy me; not my friendships, not others' approval of me, nothing. In that moment, I knew I both needed and wanted a relationship with Jesus. And so, on June 17th, 2014 I decided to follow Him.
Then, in 2016 I moved to Moscow, ID to attend the University of Idaho. I knew that I wanted to be a part of a church, get involved in ministry, and grow in my faith. The first weekend of being on campus I got connected to Resonate Church. Very quickly, I felt accepted by the community that I had encountered, and challenged by the teaching and the leaders present there. I was ready and excited to dive headfirst into growing alongside my new friends. The last five years I had the privilege of not only learning how to lead myself, but also how to lead others in what it means to lead a life of surrender and love for Jesus. Because of the joy of transformation I’ve experienced in myself and others, I realized with much thought and many prayers, that I desire to reach college students with Resonate for the foreseeable future. Therefore, I decided to go on staff with Resonate Church as a Multiplier on the University of Idaho campus. This specific role is about developing and multiplying leaders, community builders, and church planters by increasing their influence for Christ.
My financial partners in my ministry make it possible for me to do what I’m so passionate about full time. I truly believe that college students are the most reachable, teachable, and sendable mission field on the planet. My financial partners make it so that I can put all my time and energy toward reaching college students with the gospel. Would you join me in this endeavor?
