Jacob Franklin

Growing up in Florida, Jacob was always around the church. However, it wasn’t until his Junior year of college at Florida State University that Jacob chose to follow Christ rather than the things that he was pursuing. His senior year he was challenged by his campus pastor to take a risk and spend his Christmas break on mission in East Asia. This two week week experience completely changed the trajectory of his life as for the first time he began to see that there were people in the world who had never heard the name of Jesus. Returning to campus, Jacob graduated in the Spring and moved to Asia, ultimately spending 15 years reaching East Asian peoples with the gospel alongside his wife Sara and two daughters, Keely and Jordan. 

In 2017, God began to impress on Jacob and Sara a larger vision for collegiate church planting, one that involves seeing churches planted on college campuses across the globe. This vision ultimately led them to join our Resonate team as Director of Send. In this role, Jacob and his family lead Resonate to continue to think bigger when it comes to what God wants to do through the people of Resonate Church on college campuses in the global cities of the world. 

In his free time, Jacob enjoys running his coffee company, cheering his daughters on in soccer and dance, and exploring the PNW and the world with Sara by his side.
