I am captured by stories. Growing up my brothers and I created imaginary superhuman adventures. We fought sith lords, conquered orc armies, and battled supervillains who were  bold enough to challenge us. We orated countless story lines; immersing ourselves in plots where good and evil collided and our courageous actions saved the day. We lived compelling adventures daily. Eventually, my precocious land of "make-believe" morphed into a more adult version of cultural heroism. Childhood stories gave way to another set of stories. Grown up stories where world saving was replaced by personal accomplishment. Courageous action was replaced by a drive for future comfort. From middle school to early college I lived a story where basketball pedigree and people's praise were my ultimate end. Then, while in my second year playing basketball at the University of Idaho, I encountered Jesus. He loved me in the darkness of my sin and shame and invited me to live a new story; the best story. The gospel of grace. He asked me to repent of living old, untrue fiction and believe the story God wrote into the fabric of reality. Instead of living for myself, He’s asked me to live for Him. To become a man of love. A man who glorifies God by loving God and neighbor with all my capacities. A man who partners with Him as He brings light and restoration to the darkest areas of human hearts and cultures. He said, “follow me and I will make you a fisher of men.” and I followed. From that moment— I am completely taken by the gospel story and the God who wrote it. I am messy and battered by sin; yet loved and redeemed. Transforming and striving to live a life worthy of the upward call of God, by making disciples of all nations.

Resonate Church is the body of believers who adopted me when I surrendered my life to Jesus. I experienced the palpable love of God in the arms of Resonates community groups. I learned about God’s character under the sound teaching of our pastors. Men discipled me: teaching me to obey all the things God taught them. And I have been imparted a passion for God’s world-changing mission by our Church's commitment to plant churches on the college campus to bring God’s kingdom to Earth. When I graduated college I moved cities with a church planting team to make disciples on The University of Montana's campus. In 2019 I joined Resonate staff as a campus missionary. God’s writing an epic story through Resonate Church. My prayer is God uses us to bring the light of Jesus into the darkest places on the college campus, then the world.

In the last seven years, God’s transformed my life and used me to transform others' lives. As a part of His story, I’ve witnessed God change the eternities of my friends, participated with Him as he restored relationships, and followed Him to reach the unreached on the college university. We are all designed to partner with God in His epic story of redemption. If you want to hear more about my role in the story or participate in planting churches and making disciples of Jesus on the college campus, contact me or click the link on the left to join my partner team.
