FAQS

  • We believe 5 weeks is the perfect length of time for a summer project. It gives the student around 4+ weeks at home while also giving him/her ample time to develop leadership and to grow spiritually. We want to see students make gains in character growth, initiative taking, leadership skills, social aptitude and in owning responsibilities. We believe that 5 weeks is enough time for a student to truly take substantial ground in these areas.

  • We believe that leadership capacity is the economy of the future. As a church, our desire is to send students from college campuses into the world to be influencers of people in whatever sphere they choose to enter.

We have created an experience that will equip students to lead themselves and lead others on their campuses and in their workplaces.

Students will learn how to implement their faith into their everyday lives by developing relationships, navigating conflict with roommates, collaborating on a team, managing money & time, cooking, cleaning and exhibiting a strong work ethic. Ultimately, we desire for this experience to serve as a significant stepping stone in the process of becoming an adult for each student.

  • NO. Elevate is not designed for the student who wants to take it easy. There will be plenty of time for your student to have fun, participate in social events, make memories, etc … but Elevate is so much more than this. At Elevate our goal is to develop young leaders. With this in mind, the schedule is fairly demanding with serve days, labs, small group interactions, team leadership, listening to speakers and giving presentations.

  • In the event that your student raises funds in excess, they can be reimbursed for the cost of travel (flight, gas, hotel), pending the submission of receipts and the balance remaining in the account. Any funds in excess beyond reimbursing travel will go toward making the project better for students and future scholarships. As supporters are ultimately giving to the Elevate project through giving to your student’s specific account.

  • If your student drops after the designated drop date, they are responsible for paying their portion of the housing cost as outlined in the contract by the end date of April 6, 2024.

Funds beyond the housing contract can be refunded to supporters by emailing finance@resonate.net.

  • YES! Have your student notify us before you arrive; we would love to meet you!  We recommend Thursday-Sunday as the best time frame.

  • Because the project is only 5 weeks and so much happens in a short time, we do not allow students who are participating in Elevate to leave for a week. However, if your student is in a wedding (bridesmaid/groomsman), has a siblings graduation, or some other extenuating circumstance they are able to leave for one weekend trip pending the approval of the project Managers. We have found that if a student is continually out of town on weekends, they miss out on time developing relationships with others on project where they can apply the skills they are learning.

Additionally, if a family emergency arises, we are more than willing to work with at student for them to be able to be present for those situations.
