Preston Rhodes

MISSOULA SITE PASTOR

Since watching the movie Apollo 13 as a boy, I knew I wanted to solve problems. Growing up a Christian in small towns across Idaho, I excelled in math and science classes and made plans to work for NASA. In 2014, I attended the University of Idaho to study Mechanical Engineering, and that is where I found Resonate Church. I was adopted into a loving and challenging community, given responsibility and wisdom, and shown a more compelling picture of the church than any I had seen before.

As a sophomore in college, I realized that there are more serious problems to be solved than putting a man on Mars. There are billions of people living without Christ, without hope, and without purpose in this world. If we want to reach those billions, we have to start with the college campus. In 2016, I decided to abandon my dream of being an engineer and take up church planting on college campuses.

In May of 2019, my wife Tracy and I moved to Missoula, Montana with a team of about 25 students and young professionals to start Resonate Church at the University of Montana. My experience as a pastor has been exciting, worshipful, and challenging. God is using my natural problem-solving gifts to build His Kingdom here in Missoula. Who knows, maybe someday I'll move to plant a church on Mars.

Our ministry in Missoula is only possible through the generosity of financial partners. We would love to have you join our team.
