Scouting

Once a campus has been identified, we gather teams of people to take trips to university cities to scout. Our trips typically happen in a window where staff and students can spend a week in the city and on the campus while school is still in session. While we are there we focus on gathering two essential perspectives; data, and connections. We want to understand the story of the university, the rhythms of the student, the spiritual climate of the campus, what organizations have impact, how to reserve space, etc. Additionally, we want to meet people. We are looking for Gatekeepers and People of Peace; those who will give us access to the campus, students groups, and pray for God to lead us to people where he is already working. We stay in a house or local church near campus and spend the week gathering those things and exploring the city to become familiar.
