Giving Information

How gifts to any Resonate church or staff member are received, used and reported.

Who receives your gift

All gifts to Resonate churches, staff members and the Resonate Collegiate Network are received by Resonate Collective (which also does business as Resonate Church Network). Resonate Collective handles finances for every Resonate church. Gifts designated to a local church are received by Resonate Collective and granted to the Resonate Collegiate Network, which holds and manages each church’s funds. Gifts are not received directly by a local church. Checks should be made out to Resonate Collective. resonatecollective.com

Tax-exempt status

Resonate Collective is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a member of the group exemption held by the Northwest Baptist Convention (group exemption number 1675). Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for gifts unless a receipt says otherwise.

How gifts are used

We do our best to use every gift as the giver intended, including gifts designated to a church, a staff member or a fund. Gifts are accepted with the understanding that Resonate Collective has full discretion and control over the use of all donated funds, as required for the gift to be tax deductible. If a designated purpose can't be met, the gift will be used where it is most needed, as close to the giver's intent as possible.

Staff support

Gifts designated to a staff member are gifts to Resonate Collective, given in support of that person's ministry. They are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and they are not personal gifts to the staff member. If a staff member leaves Resonate, we'll contact their givers and ask whether they'd like to redirect their giving, cancel their gift or have it go to the Staff Support General Fund, which benefits all Resonate staff. If we don't hear back, gifts will go to the Staff Support General Fund.

Student trips

Gifts toward a student's trip, a trip, or the general trip fund are made through ServiceReef (resonate.servicereef.com). They are received by Resonate Collective like any other gift, and they appear in your Pushpay giving history.

Giving statements

Statements are sent by January 31 for the previous year. They are emailed through Pushpay when we have an email address. If we only have a mailing address, statements are mailed to donors who gave at least one gift of $300 or more. You can see your giving history anytime at pushpay.com/login.

Refunds and errors

If a gift was made in error, email giving@resonate.net within 30 days of the gift, and we'll refund the full amount. Trip gifts follow the same 30-day refund window, unless the trip or project has already begun. Once it has begun, trip gifts can't be refunded. Regardless, gifts can't be refunded after they appear on a giving statement (statements are sent by January 31 for the previous year).

Your information

We use donor information only to process gifts, send receipts and statements and contact you about your giving. We never sell it. We share it only with the services that process gifts, such as Pushpay and ServiceReef. See our Privacy Policy.
