Sunday gathering

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the
habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
- Hebrews 10:24–25

Why we gather

The Sunday Gathering is more than an event to attend or a service to execute. It is the weekly expression of the Church: God’s people gathering around the finished work of Jesus to worship through singing, hear His Word, pray, fellowship, celebrate communion and baptism, and encourage one another in the Gospel.

We gather because Christians were never meant to follow Jesus alone. Week after week, the Gathering reminds us of who God is, forms us as His people, and sends us back into the world on mission. Because gathering matters, how we gather matters. We pursue intentionality and excellence to faithfully steward the opportunity to gather as God’s people and worship Him together. Because we believe the Sunday Gathering carries this kind of significance, we uphold five Essentials that help us pursue excellence faithfully and holistically.

The 5 Essentials

Five shared priorities that shape every Sunday Gathering.
WORSHIP
We worship Jesus through singing, teaching, prayer, fellowship, and the ordinances.
TEAMS
We have organized, functional serve teams.
HOSPITALITY
We place a high value on hospitality.
PLANNING
We prayerfully and strategically plan ahead.
STORYTELLING
We tell stories and celebrate what God is doing in our midst.

What you can expect

Jesus at the Center
We gather around the Gospel and the finished work of Jesus.

Biblical Teaching
We open Scripture together and seek to faithfully respond to God's Word.

Participatory Worship
Gathering isn't something we simply watch. Through singing, prayer, communion, baptism, generosity, fellowship, and response, the church participates together.

Gospel Community
Sunday is an expression of a people who belong to one another, not just individuals attending an event.

Mission
We gather to be formed and encouraged as God's people and then sent back into our campuses, workplaces, neighborhoods, and cities.
