Psalm 4

In this Psalm, David is reflecting on and rejoicing in God’s peace and protection. As believers, we have been chosen by God and sealed by His holy spirit. Our prayers are heard by God no matter what their magnitude of them is. In the same way, my ear perks up when I hear my son say “Mommy”, God turns His ear when we Speak to Him.

When the worries of this world trouble our hearts, we can have confidence because God is our refuge, and He will listen when we call on Him. In Christ we are called sons and daughters, we have been given special access to our Father in Heaven. 

When our prayer life is hindered, take time to ask yourself, are you believing that God wants to hear from you? And that He will answer you?

God delights in us, in peace we can lie down and sleep for it is the Lord alone who makes us dwell in safety.
