Day 7

John 14:15-31, John 15:26-27, John 16:5-15

We have a helper in God himself. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, and Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit will teach us and help us remember the gospel truth.

It is the truth of the Spirit’s indwelling in us that we can trust that He will empower us. It is not by our own strength but the strength of God in us that we can endure. Paul reminds us of this in Romans 5, “we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Through the Spirit and by the name of Jesus, we keep going. Even when we feel burnt out, exhausted, and just want a nap. This morning, press into the Spirit, thank him for that Red Bull in your hand and keep walking in the hope that dwells in you.
